Tonight will be cold, dry and mostly clear in mainly light easterly winds. Lows of -1 to + 2 degrees, coldest in the midlands, with some frost developing. Mist and fog will develop in many areas later in the night, becoming dense in places by morning.

Dry on Tuesday with mist and fog in many places to start, clearing slowly. Long sunny spells developing through the afternoon in most areas, but remaining a little cloudier in the north. Highs of 7 to 12 degrees, coolest in Ulster and in eastern counties, in a light easterly breeze, fresh at times on southern coasts.
