Wet and windy with persistent or heavy rain in Leinster and Ulster. Rain will clear to the northeast with showers following, some heavy and winds will moderate. Strong, gusty southeasterly winds with gales at times on south and east coasts. Winds will ease as rain clears. Highest temperatures of 6 degrees in the north to 12 degrees in the south.

Tonight

Tonight will bring a good deal of cloud overall with showers or longer spells of rain, some of that heavy. There'll be some clear drier spells too. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees with mostly light to moderate south to southwest winds, increasing fresh to strong southwest in the southwest and along the south coast.

Tomorrow

Saturday will be breezy with showers or longer spells of rain. Through the afternoon, bright or sunny spells should develop from the south, with the rain and showers becoming more confined to Ulster. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with mostly moderate to fresh, occasionally strong and gusty southwest to west winds.
