Temperatures will drop sharply after dark, with lowest values ranging -1 to +4 degrees. It will be a little less cold in Atlantic coastal areas, however. Light to moderate southerly or variable breezes.
Mainly dry on Saturday with variable amounts of cloud and sunshine. A few isolated light showers will affect western counties and the lengthiest sunny spells will be in the east. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds, fresher near Atlantic coasts.

Saturday night: A dry and clear night at first. Cloud will thicken from the southeast overnight, bringing a few patches of light rain and drizzle to southern and eastern coasts by morning. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +4 degrees generally, though it will be milder in Atlantic coastal regions, in light to moderate southeast winds.
Sunday: A largely cloudy start on Sunday with just a few sunny spells and the odd patch of light rain and drizzle in the south and east. More persistent rain will develop across the western half of the country through the day. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees in moderate southerly winds.
Sunday night: Cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading eastwards across the country. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees in a light westerly or variable breeze.
Monday: A dull and damp start to the day with patches of light rain and drizzle lingering. Sunny spells will develop through the afternoon as the rain and drizzle ease. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in a light west to northwest breeze.
Tuesday: Rather wet and blustery on Tuesday with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, turning heavier in the west and southwest later, in fresh southwest winds. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.
Further outlook: Low pressure remaining dominant, bringing further wet and windy conditions at times for the latter half of the week.
