Tomorrow will bring a good deal of dry weather early in the day with some sunny spells and a few showers. It'll become increasingly cloudy from the southwest through the afternoon however, with rain following for all areas in the evening. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees in moderate westerly winds, backing southerly later.
Overview: With low pressure dominating, it'll be unsettled and changeable for the rest of the week, the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend and into next week too, with spells of rain or showers and it'll be breezy or rather windy at times. Some drier interludes too with spells of sunshine and while it'll be mild or warm for the next few days, it's likely to become a little cooler later in the weekend.
It'll become breezy or rather windy on Wednesday night with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle. The rain will be heavy at times, especially in parts of the west and north. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with fresh to strong and gusty south to southwest winds. There's the potential for gale force winds in northwestern coastal parts, all dependent on the track and development of an area of low pressure, which will track close to the north coast.
Thursday will be mostly cloudy for a time with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, heavy for a time in the north. Some bright or sunny spells will develop though the day, mainly further to the north and northwest, but with further scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, especially further south. It'll be a breezy or a rather windy day with fresh to strong and gusty southwest to west winds. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 or 21 degrees, mildest in the south and southeast.
Thursday night: Rain and drizzle is likely to become widespread again on Thursday night and will be heavy at times, especially across parts of Connacht and Ulster. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees with the winds moderating.
Friday: There's a good deal of uncertainty in the details for Friday, but it looks like rain will clear eastwards through the morning with sunshine and a scattering of showers to follow. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees with mostly moderate southwest winds.
The unsettled weather will continue for the June bank holiday weekend with spells of rain and showers at times.
While details will likely change between now and then, it looks like after a mainly dry start on Saturday, that a band of showery rain will spread from the west through the morning and afternoon. The rain will clear into the Irish Sea, with sunshine and a scattering of showers following, some heavy in the northwest, with the chance of thunder. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds, veering westerly.
Sunday, June 1st, the first day of the meteorological Summer, will bring a mix of sunshine and showers, some heavy and with a longer spell of rain spreading from the west for a time. There's a chance of thunder, especially further north. Temperatures will be a little lower than the previous couple of days with highest values of 13 to 17 degrees and it'll breezy or rather windy with moderate to fresh and gusty southwest winds, veering west to northwesterly and likely to increase strong at times in western and northern coastal parts.
Bank Holiday Monday is likely to bring a mix of sunshine and scattered showers, some heavy. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh west to northwest winds.
