Mostly cloudy today with showers.The showers becoming more frequent and widespread through the day and merging into longer spells of rain for a time in the afternoon, with some heavy showers towards evening. A cooler day with highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees in light northerly or variable breezes, fresher northwesterly near the coast.
Turning drier tonight as showery rain clears southwards, though the odd shower continuing. Some mist and fog patches too. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees in light to moderate northwesterly winds.

Tomorrow will bring some bright or sunny spells with scattered showers, some heavy. Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in a moderate east to northeasterly breeze.
On Friday night, showers will soon die away with long clear spells following. Some frost will set in. Cold with lowest temperatures of -1 to 3 degrees in light northerly breezes.
Saturday will be a cool day with a mix of sunny spells and scattered April showers feeding in over the country, in a light to moderate northeasterly breeze. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees, mildest in the west.
Mainly dry and chilly on Saturday night with clear spells in a light northwesterly breeze. Lowest temperatures of -1 to plus 2 degrees with some grass frost forming.
Sunday will see the likelihood of more general falls of rain moving in off the Atlantic during the day. Much of the south and southeast may stay fully dry however. Fairly cool with highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees. Northerly winds will likely veer westerly.
