Mostly dry thereafter in a mixture of sunny spells and partly cloudy skies. Fresh to strong and gusty southeasterly winds at first will ease light to moderate southwesterly behind the rain. Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees. Mostly light to moderate variable winds at first will become northwesterly through the morning, fresher at times near southern and southwestern coasts.
Monday night: Further scattered showers overnight with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees in mostly light to moderate westerly breezes. Some mist and fog patches may develop.
Tuesday: Sunny spells and scattered showers, driest in the south and southeast. The spells of sunshine will improve as the day goes on and showers will ease and become mostly confined to the north and northwest for the evening. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in mostly moderate westerly winds, fresher near northern coasts.
Wednesday: Largely dry and bright at first with hazy sunshine and just a few showers. Cloud will build from the south with outbreaks of rain moving into southern areas by the afternoon, extending northwards through the rest of the day. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in mostly light variable breezes.
Thursday: Quite a lot of uncertainty at present, current indications suggest that it will be breezy or possible rather windy in parts. Wet at first with widespread rain, heavy at times leading to spot flooding. The rain will gradually clear eastwards with sunshine and showers following. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 or 14 degrees.
