Showers gradually clearing northwestwards this afternoon with sunny spells following. Some of the showers will be heavy, with thunderstorms and hail likely, particularly across parts of the midlands and west. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate southerly or variable winds.

Tonight

Scattered showers will become confined to the south and west tonight, some still heavy with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. The showers will be more isolated elsewhere, with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees, in light to moderate southeasterly breezes. Patchy mist forming also.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow Wednesday will be a drier day overall with sunny spells and scattered showers, a few possibly heavy in the west and southwest early on in the day. Cloud will thicken in the east towards evening. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees in mostly moderate southeast winds, decreasing light later.
