Generally cloudy this evening with limited sunny spells and widespread showers or longer spells of rain this afternoon, some of which will be heavy. Some thunderstorms too, mainly in the northeast. The showers will gradually ease from the west. Southwesterly winds will be mostly moderate, fresher near southern and southwestern coasts.
Mostly cloudy tonight with well scattered showers. Temperatures will not fall below 8 to 11 degrees with mostly light to moderate south-west to west winds, increasing fresh at times later.
A mix of cloud and some sunny spells tomorrow morning with well scattered showers at first, becoming more isolated through the morning. Cloud will thicken later from the south-west with rain and drizzle following towards the evening, extending over Munster, south Connacht and south Leinster by nightfall. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in mostly moderate, occasionally fresh, southwesterly winds.

Wednesday night: Cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle clearing northeastwards through the night. Some hill and coastal mist and fog too. Mild with lowest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees, with mostly moderate, occasionally fresh, southerly winds.
Thursday: Cloudy with just some patchy outbreaks of light rain or drizzle at first. More persistant, and at times heavy, rain will develop, especially over the western half of the county. There will be some hill and coastal mist and fog too. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, warmest in the east and north, with moderate to fresh southerly winds.
Thursday night: Cloudy with some patchy outbreaks of rain or drizzle, along with some hill and coastal mist and fog in the south. Another mild night, with lowest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees, with light to moderate southerly winds.
Friday: Continuing mostly cloudy with limited sunny spells and further patchy outbreaks of rain or drizzle. The best of the sunny spells are likely to be further east, with the heaviest of any rain further west. Highest temperatures of 14 to 20 degrees, warmest in north Leinster and Ulster, with moderate southerly winds.
Saturday: A mostly dry day with good sunny spells developing and just the odd shower. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees, with light to moderate westerly or variable breezes.
Further outlook: Generally dry, sunny and warm for Sunday, although some mist and fog may linger in coastal areas. Temperatures will continue to rise into next week, possibly reaching the mid-twenties at times, with some good sunshine, but also some showers or spells of rain.
