Tonight, rain will become widespread and will be heavy in places, initially over the southern half of the country and then further north towards morning. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees, with mostly moderate easterly winds, but stronger along the east coast.
Saturday morning will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, which will continue in Ulster and Leinster for a time in the afternoon. Drier, brighter weather will follow from the west. However rain will develop in the southwest again in the evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees with light variable winds becoming moderate westerly in the afternoon.
Continuing unsettled with rain or showers each day and cooler than average for the time of year.
Saturday night: Saturday night will bring a good deal of cloud overall, with rain and drizzle, mainly for the southwest, west and northwest. It'll hold mostly dry elsewhere, with some clear spells for a time. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in mostly moderate southerly winds, fresh to strong in western coastal parts.
Sunday: Cloudy in all areas with outbreaks of rain becoming widespread from the west through the morning, some of it heavy. Brighter conditions with sunshine and showers, will move into western and northwestern parts during the afternoon, and slowly extend elsewhere. Some of the showers may turn heavy later, especially in the northwest, while it'll stay cloudy and wet well into the evening in the east and southeast. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
Sunday night: Sunday night will bring a mix of clear spells and showers, with most of the showers in the west and north, some heavy. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in mostly moderate southwest to west winds.
Monday: Monday will be a brighter day with sunshine and showers, some of them heavy. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in mostly moderate west to southwest winds, fresher in western coastal parts.
Tuesday: Tuesday will be another day of sunshine and showers, again some heavy, with a chance of thunder and possibly hail too. Similar temperatures with highs of 13 to 16 degrees in mostly moderate, occasionally fresh, westerly winds.
Wednesday: There'll probably be fewer showers on Wednesday, with a good lot of dry weather for a time and some sunny spells. However, it's likely that cloud will increase through the day with rain starting to push up from the southwest later. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees, with mostly moderate westerly winds, backing southerly and starting to freshen in western and southwestern coastal parts. The rain will become widespread then on Wednesday night, becoming heavy at times.
Thursday: Some heavy rain at first will clear eastwards, with sunshine and showers following, some heavy. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh and occasionally gusty southwest winds.
