TONIGHT

Largely dry with clear spells at first tonight, and just isolated showers. Cloud will soon build from the west with outbreaks of rain following into the northwest towards morning. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 7 degrees, coldest early on further east, with light to moderate southwesterly winds freshening overnight and becoming strong in western coastal parts towards morning.

TOMORROW - Saturday 28th March

Tomorrow morning will be wet and rather windy with rain in the northwest spreading southeastwards along with fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds. The rain will be heavy at times in the west and northwest with a chance of some spot flooding. A clearance to sunny spells and isolated showers will develop in the north and northwest in the morning, extending to most areas through the afternoon, with the winds veering westerly with the clearance, but only gradually moderating. Cloud and patchy drizzle will linger in the south and southwest. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 or 14 degrees.

Overview: Mild but quite dull with patchy light rain and drizzle for Monday and Tuesday, before turning more mixed from around midweek.

Sunday night: Largely dry and clear at first, with isolated showers in the north. Cloud will start to spread from the west through the night. Lowest temperatures of just 6 to 9 degrees in mostly moderate west to northwest winds.

Monday: A mild day but becoming quite dull as cloud extends across the country along with patchy light rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 or 14 degrees in moderate to fresh northwesterly winds.

Monday night: Continuing cloudy with patchy light rain, drizzle and mist. Lowest temperatures of just 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate westerly breezes.

Tuesday: Another mild and generally cloudy day with patchy rain and drizzle, but with some brighter spells breaking through at times too. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in mostly moderate westerly winds.

Wednesday: Likely wetter than previous days as outbreaks of rain move in from the northwest. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in mostly moderate westerly winds, veering northerly.
