Generally cloudy but largely dry this evening, with the best of the sunny spells in the south and southeast. A little bit of patchy light rain, drizzle and mist will mainly affect parts of Ulster, with just a few light spots possible elsewhere. West to southwest winds will be mostly moderate, fresher in western and northern coastal parts and in some eastern areas.

TONIGHT

Generally cloudy tonight, with just limited clear spells in the south and east. Patchy light rain, drizzle and mist will affect mainly parts of the north and west, along with some hill fog. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees with west to southwest winds decreasing mainly light to moderate.

TOMORROW - Sunday 5th July

Dry in most places tomorrow, though there'll be a little patchy light rain, drizzle and mist in Ulster and a few spots too in some western and northern parts of Connacht. While it'll start off cloudy for most, good spells of sunshine will develop in the south and southeast through the day, with just limited bright spells possible in other areas. Highest temperatures will range from 16 degrees in the northwest and along the west coast, up to 24 degrees under the sunshine in the south and southeast, with mostly light to moderate west to southwest winds, a little fresher in the northwest.

National Outlook

Overview: Plenty of dry weather overall with occasional rain and drizzle, mainly affecting the west and north. Best of the sunny spells in the south and east at first, but sunshine amounts improving generally early next week.

Sunday Night: Another cloudy night for most. Patchy light rain, drizzle and mist will continue in parts of Ulster and Connacht with mainly dry conditions elsewhere, along with some limited clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees, with light to moderate west to southwest winds.

Monday: Mostly cloudy to begin on Monday with patches of light rain and drizzle in the west and north, becoming confined to coastal areas in the afternoon. Current indications suggest warm sunny spells will develop in parts of Munster and Leinster, gradually spreading elsewhere later in the day. Highest temperatures of 18 to 24 degrees generally, though a degree or two cooler in coastal parts of the west and northwest, in mostly moderate west to southwest winds. Mostly cloudy with a few spots of light rain, drizzle and patchy mist in the west and north on Monday night. Mainly dry with variable cloud and clear spells elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, with light to moderate west to southwest breezes.

Tuesday: Patchy drizzle in the northwest and north at first on Tuesday, but a brighter day overall with more widespread sunshine developing compared to previous days. Highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees, generally, warmest in the south and east. Cooler in Atlantic coastal fringes with highs of 16 to 19 degrees more typical here, all in a mainly light, occasionally moderate, westerly breeze.

Wednesday: A mix of cloud and warm sunny spells for Wednesday, with just the chance of a few spots of drizzle near western and northwestern coasts. Highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees, generally, though slightly cooler along the Atlantic coastal fringes in a mainly light westerly breeze.

Further Outlook: Some uncertainty in the details at present with the chance of more changeable conditions, at least for a time.
