Becoming wet in all areas overnight as a band of rain continues to move eastwards across the country. Southerly winds increasing moderate to fresh and gusty, strong at times on western coasts. Winds will veer west overnight as the rain clears. Cool, with lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees.

Tomorrow

Any lingering rain will clear east and southeast coastal counties early Friday. Dry across many areas with sunny spells and well scattered showers, a few heavy ones though across the northwest. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees, in light to moderate southwest breezes. Later in the evening rain will move into the west, turning heavy with strong southerly winds setting in too.
