Widely warm and heavy for the rest of today, especially further east, with a mix of cloud and late hazy sunshine. Some showery rain will begin to move into parts of the West and North, with some thunderstorms across northern counties.

Tonight

Some showery rain will affect Atlantic counties early tonight with some thunderstorms possible for a time across Ulster. Patchy outbreaks of rain will begin to move into remaining areas later in the night. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 18 degrees; still very mild and humid for east and southeast counties while turning fresher elsewhere. Westerly breezes will veer northwest overnight.

Tomorrow

Friday will be a fresher day generally with light to moderate northwest breezes. Generally dry with a fair deal of cloud, but some sunny spells too. Some lingering showers may affect eastern counties to begin, with some well-scattered showers for the West and North later. Top temperatures will range from 17 degrees along Atlantic fringes to a warmer 24 or 25 degrees across Leinster and southeast Munster.
