Today

Very warm or hot with long spells of sunshine for most this afternoon with any lingering cloud and showers in the east and north soon clearing, and just some patchy mist and fog in the southwest. Further showers and thunderstorms may break out later this afternoon and evening, mainly in the northwest. Highest temperatures of 24 to 29 degrees for the majority of the country, slightly cooler in parts of Munster and south Leinster with highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees.

Tonight

Mainly dry with cloudier conditions across the country spreading from the west overnight. Isolated showers are possible in parts of Ulster. Mild and humid with temperatures not falling below 12 to 17 degrees.

Tomorrow

Saturday will be warm with sunny spells, but it will become cloudier at times, especially in the west. Scattered showers will occur, mainly over the western half of country with some turning heavy and possibly thundery later in the day. Highest temperatures of 19 to 25 degrees, warmest across the eastern half of the country, all in a light to moderate southwest wind.
