Today

Cloudy with isolated showers drifting in across western counties, but some sunny spells along the east. Rain will develop across Munster and Connacht this afternoon, turning heavy and persistent with spot flooding possible. A few isolated thundery bursts are possible in the far south later this afternoon and early evening. Eastern and northern areas remaining mostly dry. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with light winds.

Tonight

Wet for most with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times with some spot flooding and thundery bursts possible, especially in southern and southeastern parts. The rain will clear southeastwards later in the night followed by isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 8 degrees with light winds becoming fresh northwesterly overnight.

Tomorrow

Thursday will see a wet start in the east and southeast as rain clears into the Irish Sea through the morning. It will be blustery with scattered showers pushing in from the Atlantic, most frequent in the northwest and west and becoming heavier in the afternoon with some hail possible. However, there will be some long sunny spells too. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds, strong on western and northwestern coasts.
