Today

A cold and bright start this morning with good sunshine. Mainly dry apart from showers on Atlantic coasts which will spread further eastwards through the day. The showers will become largely confined to the northwest through the evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees with moderate to fresh southwest winds.

Tonight

Scattered showers will continue to affect Atlantic coastal counties. Elsewhere will see mostly dry conditions with plenty of longer clear spells. Cloud will build in the west later on in the night with some patchy drizzle arriving into coastal parts by morning. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.

Tomorrow

Dry and breezy for most to begin on Saturday with some brighter intervals in the south and east. Rain and drizzle will spread over Ulster and Connacht through the morning, with some heavy bursts developing before gradually spreading southeastwards across the rest of the country through the afternoon and evening. Afternoon highs of 8 to 12 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty south to southwest winds, with gales on Atlantic coasts.
