Scattered showers will continue for the rest of the day, turning heavy at times. Winds will be light to moderate and variable and there'll be occasional sunshine.

Tonight

Scattered showers will turn to longer spells of rain tonight, with most clear spells occurring in the southwest. There'll be some mist and fog patches too. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees, coldest in the north, with moderate to fresh westerly winds in Munster and light, variable winds elsewhere.

Tomorrow

A generally wet and breezy day tomorrow, with rain across the northern half of the country and scattered showers and occasional sunshine further south. The rain and showers will be heavy at times and may cause spot flooding. It will be breezy with moderate to fresh winds, variable at first before becoming mainly northerly. Colder conditions will spread from the north through the day, with early afternoon temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees over the northern half of the country and 6 to 9 degrees further south.
