Winds increasing to storm or violent storm force in western and northwestern coastal areas at times during the evening. Otherwise there'll be a mix of scattered showers and some sunny spells this evening.

Windy with widespread heavy showers or longer spells of rain. Strong to near gale force west to southwest winds will affect the country with gales on northern and western coasts. Cooler with lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.

Tomorrow

Saturday will be wet and windy with strong and gusty westerly winds. A band of heavy showery rain will move down from the north across the country. The afternoon will gradually become drier with just well scattered showers and some sunny spells developing at times too. Cooler with highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.
