Cool and mainly dry for the evening. Cloud will continue to increase over Ulster and Connacht with clear spells further south. Light variable breezes.

Tonight

Clear spells for a time tonight in Leinster and Munster with frost and some icy patches for a time. It will be cloudier further north. Rain and drizzle will develop in the northwest and will spread southeastwards to most areas overnight. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees with light to moderate southwest or west winds.

Tomorrow

On Tuesday morning, rain and drizzle will clear southeastwards with sunshine and scattered showers following from the northwest. Some of the showers will be heavy, mainly further north, where there's a chance of hail. Quite cold with highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees west to northwest winds increasing moderate to fresh and gusty.
