Turning cloudy in all areas as rain and drizzle continues to spread across the country this afternoon, extending eastwards to all areas by early evening. Highest afternoon temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds increasing fresh to strong later.

Tonight

A wet night for most with widespread rain, turning heavy at times with potential for localised flooding. A clearance will move into western and northwestern areas towards morning. Becoming milder for a time before cooler conditions develop behind the rain. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees in fresh south to southwest winds, light to moderate in the north and west.

Tomorrow

The first day of meteorological winter, tomorrow morning, heavy rain will gradually clear with bright spells for a time. However, further showers will spread from the west through the day. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees in light to moderate south to southwest winds.
