Showers merging to give longer spells of rain at times, with some localised heavy falls. A clearance to drier and sunnier conditions in Ulster, will continue to edge slowly southwards this evening. Light to moderate northerly or variable breezes.

Showery outbreaks of rain will linger in southern parts tonight. It'll be cold with clear spells elsewhere, with just a few showers near northern coasts. Some mist and fog patches too. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +5 degrees in light northeasterly winds, coldest across the north midlands, with a touch of grass frost.

Tomorrow

Some bright or sunny spells tomorrow with well scattered showers, some heavy. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in a light to moderate northeasterly breeze.
