Rather cloudy this morning with heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms over much of Leinster, gradually clearing into the Irish Sea. Scattered showers developing elsewhere with some longer spells of rain in Connacht and Munster. Showers will turn heavy or thundery through the late morning and early afternoon. However, some sunny spells will break through during the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees, warmest in the east in light to moderate northwesterly winds, fresh at times on western and southern coasts.


Tonight will be largely cloudy with well scattered showers and just occasional clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees. Mist patches and hill fog will form in light to moderate west to northwest breezes, but winds will be fresher at times on southern and southwestern coasts.


Tomorrow, Saturday, will begin mostly cloudy with just occasional bright spells and isolated light showers developing. Showers will become more frequent during the afternoon before easing as some good evening sunny spells develop though staying cloudier in the northwest. Highest temperatures ranging from 15 degrees in the north to 21 degrees in the south in light to moderate northwest breezes.
