Mostly dry tonight with just isolated patches of rain and drizzle mainly in the north, mist and fog pockets also. Lows of generally 5 to 7 degrees, dropping as low as 2 to 5 degrees in Munster under broken cloud. Generally light to moderate westerly winds increasing fresh to strong on northern coasts later.


Thursday will be a mostly cloudy day with patchy rain, drizzle and mist, mainly in the west and north. There will be good dry periods elsewhere, especially for southern counties with occasional bright or sunny intervals. Highs of 8 to 12 degrees, coolest in the north in fresh to strong and gusty west to northwest winds, generally moderate elsewhere.
