Some brighter spells at first in the east. However, outbreaks of rain and drizzle will continue to move eastwards across the country through the afternoon and evening. Turning milder than recent days with top temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees, in a moderate or fresh south to southwest breeze.


Patchy outbreaks of light rain and drizzle will occur tonight with some mist and fog in parts too. Turning colder later with lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees, in light to moderate west to northwest breezes, increasing strong near northern coasts.


Any lingering light rain will quickly clear tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, leaving a largely dry day with occasional sunny spells developing. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees, in a moderate or fresh northwesterly breeze.
