A cold, dry and sunny day for most today, though fog will linger for a time in some parts of Ulster and isolated showers will affect Atlantic coastal counties. Highest afternoon temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees in a light southwesterly breeze.

Tonight

Early tonight will be dry and cold with clear spells and lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees with some frost for a time. Cloud will build from the west before midnight with outbreaks of rain gradually spreading eastwards over the country. Becoming milder and breezier overnight with southerly winds increasing fresh to strong and gusty.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning will start blustery with widespread outbreaks of rain, possibly heavy in places. Bright spells and scattered showers will develop for most areas through the morning and early afternoon. However, rain and drizzle will linger in parts of the south and east until after dark. Fresh to strong southerly winds will ease moderate behind the rain. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
