Fresh this morning with good spells of sunshine. However, showers further west will gradually push eastwards, turning heavier and more frequent through the day. Hail and local lightning too, mainly across Ulster. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees, best values further east. Southwesterly breezes will freshen a little during the day, becoming gusty around showers.

Tonight

Tonight will bring a mix of clear spells and further scattered heavy thundery showers with hail and local lightning, especially to west and northwest counties. Cold, with lowest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees, in a mostly moderate west to southwest breezes, fresher near western coasts.

Tomorrow

Tuesday will bring widespread scattered showers from early on in the day. Some of the showers will be heavy with hail and a chance of lightning. Sunny spells at times too, before cloudier conditions develop over the northern half of the country in the evening. Cool again for early summer with highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees, with moderate to fresh westerly winds.
