Today

Dull and damp to start with widespread outbreaks of rain. The rain will gradually clear northwards through the morning becoming lighter and patchier as it does so. Becoming largely dry this afternoon with just patches of light rain or drizzle. More persistent rain will spread over southern counties during the evening. There'll be some mist and fog too. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in light southeasterly winds.

Tonight

Persistent rain will spread northwards over the country overnight, clearing to scattered showers in the south by morning. There'll be mist and fog patches too. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate southerly or variable winds.

Tomorrow

A mostly cloudy and misty start to the day tomorrow. Any lingering rain in the north will quickly clear and scattered showers in the south will become isolated through the morning. Sunny spells will develop from the west as the cloud gradually clears eastwards. Showers will continue over Leinster tomorrow with drier conditions elsewhere. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds, veering northwesterly and easing light through the day.
