National Forecast

21 December 2025 17:11

Today

There'll be a good lot of dry weather in many areas this evening with a mix of cloud and some clear spells. However, it'll continue wetter in Munster, with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle slowly moving westwards. A little rain and drizzle will continue in parts of Ulster also. Light, occasionally moderate, easterly or variable breezes.

Tonight

Mostly cloudy tonight with rain and drizzle clearing in the southwest at first and with further scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle moving in from the east overnight. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 6 degrees generally but staying slightly milder over Ulster and along eastern and southern coasts. Northeasterly winds will be moderate along southern and eastern coasts, but will be mostly light and those light winds will allow mist and fog patches to develop, maily over the western half of the country.

Tomorrow

Mostly cloudy for much of tomorrow with outbreaks of patchy rain and drizzle spreading from the west. Overnight mist and fog will be slow to clear, lingering for much of the day in places, mainly in the west and in the Midlands. It'll become drier across much of the eastern half of the country through the afternoon, with a few bright or sunny spells developing. The clearance will extend further westwards later. Highest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees in mostly light easterly or variable breezes, moderate though in coastal parts of the east, south and north at times.
