Clear spells in many areas this evening and early tonight, but cloudier in parts of Munster and Connacht, especially Co. Cork. It will be coldest early in the night with lows of -1 to 3 degrees with frost and some patches of mist or fog. Milder in Munster with lows of 4 to 8 degrees. Cloud will increase from the west overnight with patchy rain and drizzle developing in the west and southwest towards morning.


Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with the best of any brighter intervals in the east. Through the morning, rain and drizzle in the west will spread over the western half of the country and then extend eastwards to remaining areas in the afternoon and early evening, becoming very light and patchy. Milder than recently with highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees and moderate southwest winds.
