Tonight

Outbreaks of rain across Munster, Connacht and south Ulster will spread across much of the country tonight but holding dry across east Leinster for a time. The rain will be heaviest and most persistent across the western half of the country with the chance of spot flooding in parts of Connacht and north Munster. The rain will clear southeastwards later in the night followed by isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 8 degrees with light winds becoming fresh northwesterly overnight.

Tomorrow

Thursday will see a wet start in the east and southeast as rain clears into the Irish Sea through the morning. It will be blustery with scattered showers pushing in from the Atlantic, most frequent in the northwest and west and becoming heavier in the afternoon with some hail possible. However, there will be some long sunny spells too. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds, strong on western and northwestern coasts.
