Dry and bright today in many areas with plenty of sunshine. There'll be scattered showers too, these mainly in western parts though, a few heavy. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in mostly light to moderate south to southwest winds, fresher in western parts.

Tonight

It'll be dry in many areas tonight with long clear spells, though there'll be some scattered showers in western coastal parts. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees, coldest further east, with some frost possible. Winds will be mostly light to moderate southerly or variable, increasing fresh to strong along Atlantic coasts.

Tomorrow

Dry and breezy for most to begin on Saturday with some brighter intervals in the south and east. Rain and drizzle will spread over Ulster and Connacht through the morning, with some heavy bursts developing before gradually spreading southeastwards across the rest of the country through the afternoon and evening. Afternoon highs of 8 to 12 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty south to southwest winds, with gales on Atlantic coasts.
