Brighter intervals will develop as the day goes on, with the rain and showers becoming increasingly confined to Ulster by evening. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees. Southwest to west winds will be mostly moderate to fresh, occasionally strong and gusty, but light to moderate in Ulster.

Mainly dry with clear spells at first tonight, apart from scattered showers in the north. Cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle will extend from the southwest overnight. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees. Winds will become mainly light and will back south to southeast or variable, allowing mist and fog patches to form.

Tomorrow

Mostly cloudy at first tomorrow, Sunday, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle with occasional heavy bursts. A clearance will develop in Connacht and Munster during the afternoon brighter, clearer intervals and scattered showers moving in off the Atlantic there. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees with light to moderate southeast or variable winds veering southwest to west.
