Dry with clear skies tonight and light winds. A widespread sharp to severe frost, with risk of icy patches, will form with minimum temperatures of zero to minus 4 degrees. Mist will thicken into fog overnight, with the possibility of extensive fog and freezing fog patches by morning, leading to hazardous driving conditions.


A cold start tomorrow with frost and patches of freezing fog, slow to clear in places, and continuing difficult driving conditions. A dry and sunny afternoon will follow. Highest temperatures generally 6 to 9 degrees, temperatures will be lower where fog lingers into the afternoon. Light variable winds will back southeasterly later in the day and freshen along Atlantic coasts.
