Today

Humid with scattered showers moving northeastwards over the country. A clearance to long spells of sunshine will continue to extend from the southwest and it will become very warm or hot. Further showers and thunderstorms may break out later this afternoon and evening, mainly in the northwest. Highest temperatures of 24 to 29 degrees for the majority of the country, slightly cooler in Munster and south Leinster with highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees. Patchy mist and fog also, mainly in the southwest.

Tonight

Mainly dry with cloudier conditions across the country spreading from the west overnight. Isolated showers are possible in parts of Ulster. Mild and humid with temperatures not falling below 12 to 17 degrees.

Tomorrow

Saturday will be warm with sunny spells, but it will become cloudier at times, especially in the west. Scattered showers will occur, mainly over the western half of country with some turning heavy and possibly thundery later in the day. Highest temperatures of 19 to 25 degrees, warmest across the eastern half of the country, all in a light to moderate southwest wind.
