Cool and blustery for the rest of today with sunny spells and widespread showers. Some of the showers will be heavy with a chance of hail and isolated thunderstorms with a few turning wintry in the north and northwest, especially about higher ground. Fresh to strong and gusty westerly winds, with gales continuing along western and northwestern coasts.

Tonight

A mix of clear spells and scattered blustery showers at first tonight. Some of those showers still heavy with hail and possibly wintry at times in the north and about high ground. The showers will gradually ease and become increasingly confined to the north, with clear spells developing for time. Cloudier conditions with patchy rain and drizzle will spread from the southwest towards morning. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees will occur early on in the night, with moderate to fresh and gusty westerly winds easing mostly moderate southwesterly.

Tomorrow

Monday will be a mostly cloudy day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading northeastwards during the morning, becoming lighter and patchier from the southwest in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with moderate southwesterly winds freshening through the day.
