Monday will begin cloudy, with rain, drizzle and mist across the southern half of the country, becoming confined to southern counties. Sunny spells will gradually break through across the northern half of the country by early afternoon, with brighter skies reaching remaining areas later in the day. Highest temperatures will range 14 to 20 degrees (north to south), in light north to northeast breezes.


Dry but rather cold tonight with clear spells. Mist and fog setting in later, especially across inland areas. Lowest temperatures will range 3 to 8 degrees in near calm.


Early morning mist and fog clearing on Tuesday, to give a dry and calm day, with good spells of autumn sunshine. Highest temperatures will range 15 to 19 degrees, mildest in the south of Munster.
