Mainly dry overnight, with clear spells and a slight chance of a few isolated light showers. Some mist or fog patches may develop, in light westerly or variable winds. Minimum temperatures 6 to 12 degrees, coldest in the western half of the country.

Tomorrow

Saturday will start off dry in most areas, with sunny spells, but a little patchy drizzle may develop along parts of the east and southeast coasts. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will also develop along Atlantic coasts during the morning and early afternoon, extending gradually eastwards by evening, with some heavier bursts, mainly in west Munster and west Connacht. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees. Winds will be mostly light to moderate south to southwest, but becoming windy in Atlantic coastal areas, with fresh to strong southerly winds developing.
