National Forecast

11 February 2026 21:30

Tonight

Dry for a time with some clear breaks in southern coastal counties at first tonight, but generally wet elsewhere with further outbreaks of rain or showers, some of that heavy, with a continued chance of spot flooding. The rain may turn to sleet or wet snow, mainly about higher ground, as colder air moves down from the north overnight. A clearance will develop in Ulster and Connacht by morning. Breezy with moderate to fresh northeasterly winds over the northern half of the country and moderate to fresh southwesterly winds in the south. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees with some localised frost and ice.

Tomorrow

Cold, with some frost and ice in places on Friday morning. A mixed start to the day with mostly dry and sunny conditions in the north and west, but lingering cloud and rain in the south and east, possibly wintry initially at elevation. The rain will gradually clear south-eastwards as the day goes on with just a few isolated showers following in the north and west. Afternoon highs of 3 to 7 degrees with mainly light to moderate northerly winds, fresh for a time in the south and east, but gradually easing with the clearance later.
