Rain will extend eastwards to most areas through the afternoon and evening, becoming heavy and persistent at times. Rather cloudy in parts of the west and north with the best of the sunny spells in the midlands and east. Mist and hill fog will form too. Highest temperatures of 17 to 24 degrees, warmest in the east all in moderate southwesterly breezes.

Outbreaks of rain will gradually clear eastwards overnight, followed by a mix of scattered showers and clear spells. Mist patches forming too. Lowest temperatures of 11 and 14 degrees with moderate southwesterly winds, easing and becoming westerly with the clearance of the rain.

Tomorrow

Tuesday will be a brighter day with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers spreading from the northwest. Feeling fresher with highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in light to moderate northwesterly breezes, fresher on the coast.
