WMO-sponsored climate change videos by TV weather presenters
20 November 2015

The World Meteorological Organization has invited Meteorological Services and Television stations around the world to contribute videos to promote awareness of climate change and the United Nations climate change conference in Paris (COP-21). Each of these 22 videos provides either a “weather report from 2050” or a report on how climate is impacting a well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many feature subtitles in English, French or Spanish. These new videos join 27 earlier contributions and will be posted at according to the schedule below.

Mon 16th– Swiss Radio and Television (SRF), Switzerland

Tue 17th–   Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services/Zanyengo, Malawi

Wed 18th– Univision Radio, Puerto Rico, USA

Thu 19th–   Vietnam Television (VTV), Vietnam

Fri 20th–     The Weather Network, Canada

Sat 21st–    Radio Television Ireland (RTE), Ireland

Mon 23rd– MetService, New Zealand

Tue 24th–   Channel 5, Belize

Wed 25th– Royal Army Radio, Thailand

Thu 26th–   Ceská Televize, Czech Republic
