This morning will be dry in many areas with sunny spells. It will become cloudier in Munster and Connacht with rain developing in western counties in the late morning and then spreading northeastwards to all areas through the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds.
Tonight will be wet and breezy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, possibly heavy at times. Clear spells and scattered showers will develop in western counties by morning. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees with moderate to fresh southerly winds, becoming lighter overnight.
Sunday will start off cloudy and wet over the eastern half of Ireland. Sunny spells and scattered showers further west will extend to most areas by noon. During the afternoon showery rain will develop in the south and spread northwards through the evening. Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds.
Overview: Continuing unsettled with further spells of rain or showers but some drier sunny spells too. Generally relatively mild for the time of year, and while it'll be somewhat cooler at first with temperatures closer to average, there's little danger of frost.
Sunday night: Some showery rain is likely for a time, but overall there'll be a good deal of dry weather. Areas of mist and fog will develop though, becoming dense in places, as winds will just be light and variable. Temperatures a little lower than recently with minimum values of 4 to 7 degrees.
Monday: Monday morning is likely to be rather misty and foggy for a time, however that will slowly clear through the morning and early afternoon, with some bright or sunny spells developing. While there'll be a good deal of dry weather in many areas, some showery rain affect southern and eastern parts at times with a few scattered showers in western parts too. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in mostly light, occasionally moderate, southeast or variable breezes.
Monday night: Becoming wet and blustery as cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle become widespread from the southwest on Monday night. Some of the rain will be heavy, with spot flooding. There'll be some mist and hill and coastal fog too. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees in freshening southeast winds.
Tuesday: Tuesday will be a wet and blustery day. The rain will be heavy and persistent with some localised flooding. There'll be some mist and hill and coastal fog too. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees, in moderate to fresh, occasionally strong, and gusty southeast winds.
Tuesday night: There'll be further spells of rain on Tuesday night, heavy at times, though a clearance to drier weather with clear spells and scattered showers will extend northwards to most parts overnight. Some of the showers will turn heavy in the south. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with the winds generally easing. Some mist and fog patches will develop.
Wednesday: The mist and fog will clear to leave a mix of cloud and bright or sunny spells, along with some heavy showers, especially in parts of the south and west, some thundery. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
Thursday: Thursday will see further showers or longer spells of rain moving northwards, some of that heavy and possibly thundery. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees
It'll continue unsettled for the rest of the week and likely next weekend too with low pressure feeding up further spells of rain or showers, but staying relatively mild.
