This morning will be mostly cloudy with patchy light rain and drizzle. Brighter weather and just a few showers will follow from the west for the afternoon and evening and some sunny spells will develop. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees with moderate westerly winds.
It will stay dry in most areas tonight with clear spells for a time. However, it'll become cloudier overnight, especially in the west and north, with a little light patchy rain and drizzle moving in, mainly into coastal parts there. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 13 degrees, coolest in the east and south under the clearer skies.
It'll be mostly cloudy at first on Monday with a few patches of light rain and drizzle in the morning, mainly for Connacht and Ulster. Otherwise there'll be plenty of dry weather with some bright or sunny spells mainly in the east and south. In the evening cloud will increase from the west with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle moving in to western parts of Connacht and western parts of Ulster. Overview: High pressure will continue to steadily build near Ireland for the week ahead, leading to a lot of dry weather overall with sunshine too, and just the odd shower at times. Becoming warmer later in the week too.
On Monday night, scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will move southeastwards across the country, weakening as it does. There'll be a little mist too. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
Patchy rain, drizzle and mist will gradually clear southeastwards on Tuesday morning and early afternoon. It will brighten up from the west with sunny spells developing and just a few coastal showers. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in mostly moderate westerly winds.
Tuesday night will be mainly dry with good clear skies and a few patches of mist or fog. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with winds decreasing light mainly west to southwest or variable.
Wednesday will be a fine Summers day. It'll be dry with plenty of sunshine, though some northern coastal areas may be dull for a time. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 in light variable winds.
Thursday will be warmer with a mix of cloud and spells of sunshine. A few showers may develop in places later in the day and overnight. Highest temperatures of 18 to 23 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, south to southeast winds.
Friday will be warm and humid with light winds and sunny spells, and with the odd isolated shower possible in places. High's of 18 to 23 degrees.
