Research Programme Officer (Fixed Term Contract)
Met Éireann, a line division of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, is seeking expressions of interests in a research fellowship, which will commence as soon as possible.
Met Éireann is both a Research Performing Organisation and a Research Funding Organisation. Some of its research activities are carried out by permanent members of staff, so-called ‘in-house core research activities’ (including in-kind contribution to research activities performed elsewhere). Research conducted outside of these ‘in-house core research activities’ is managed through Met Éireann’s Weather and Climate Research Programme (MÉWCRP).
Met Éireann is looking for a passionate individual to fulfil the project oversight needs of all MÉWCRP-funded projects and ensure their delivery and funding compliance.

The Researcher will be required to work in one of Met Éireann’s locations (HQ, Glasnevin, Cahersiveen, Shannon Airport). Where possible, the successful candidates may be authorised to work remotely in line with approved policies for workplace attendance.

Postdoctoral Researcher – Development of Regional Reanalysis at Met Éireann (Fixed Term Contract)
Met Éireann, a line division of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, is seeking expressions of interest in a research fellowship, which will commence as soon as possible.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will work with the MÉRA-2 team to research the latest advances in data assimilation for use in the production of MÉRA-2, as well as exploring increasing the volume and variety of observations used as input, including the use of satellite data. MÉRA-2 will be produced using the latest operational version of HARMONIE-AROME, Cycle 43h2.1.
