The World Weather Information Service (WWIS) provides forecasts and climatological information (monthly weather norms) for over 1,300 places throughout the world. What is special about the WWIS? The forecasts are prepared, on a country-by-country basis, in each of the 132 participating countries, by forecasters familiar with their own "local" weather.

Thus the WWIS gathers together, in one website, the combined experience and expertise of the world's leading weather forecasters. The coordination and gathering of these forecasts is performed under the auspices of the World Meteorological Organisation, and the forecasts are made freely available through the WWIS website. The website is available in a range of languages including Italian, French, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic etc etc.
