Forecast for Inland Lakes issued at 06:30 hours Sunday, 22-Oct-2017

Meteorological situation at 0300:A vigorous depression of 988 hPa, Storm Brian, centred in the North Sea, is generating a strong and gusty west to northwest airflow over Ireland. The airflow will back west to southwest today and ease, as a weak ridge moves in from the Atlantic. A warm front will approach from the southwest later today and will cross the country this evening and tonight, in a strong southerly airflow.

Forecast For Lough Derg until nightfall today
Wind : Westerly, force 4 and gusty, possibly force 5 locally at first, backing west to southwest force 3 or 4 this afternoon, later southerly, force 4.
Weather : Scattered showers, becoming isolated. More persistent rain, with fog patches, will extend from the west this evening or early tonight.
Visibility : Mostly good today, becoming moderate to poor later this evening / early tonight.
Winds Overnight : Moderate, locally fresh, southerly, later decreasing mostly moderate south to southwesterly.
Outlook for tomorrow : Light to moderate south to southwest winds, later increasing moderate southerly. Mainly fair at first. Rain later, with mist and fog patches.
