 Monthly Weather Summary

The Monthly Weather Summary is a 3-page summary of the month's weather in Ireland, based on data from the network of synoptic stations. It aims to provide an immediate overview of weather events during the month, together with comparisons/differences from normal values. It is available on the morning of the first working day after the relevant month. At the end of each season, an additional 2-page seasonal summary is included. The Monthly Weather Summary contains the following information:
  • A text summary of the major weather patterns of the month
  • Daily values of temperature, rainfall and sunshine in graphical format from a selection of stations
  • Percentage/difference from normal values of major elements in graphical format for each synoptic station
The Monthly Weather Summary is free to subscribers by email, contact Climate Enquiries. A charge applies to hard copies of the Statement issued by mail or fax.
