Most general forecast enquiries can be served by WEATHERDIAL, the Premium
Rate Weather Service, which is available on voice or fax. Voice forecasts
for each
of the four provinces, the greater Dublin Area and for Irish coastal waters
and the Irish Sea can be obtained by dialling:

Weatherdial Fax
Text forecasts, isobaric charts, meteograms, climate and aviation products
from Met Éireann are now available direct to your fax machine
via WEATHERDIAL FAX. Help pages are also available.
Weatherdial Fax PRODUCT LIST [PDF] What do you need?
• Fax machine
• Tone-dialling handset attached (some fax machines may allow off-hook
dialling from the fax keypad)
• Telephone access to Premium Rate numbers
What do you do?
• Lift handset and dial 1570 131 838 - no area code needed,
though if dialling through a PABX you may need to dial 9 (usually)
for an outside line.
• When your call is answered, you will hear a voice asking you to enter
a Product Code (each product in the range has its own code). If you are using
this service for the first time, please enter Product Code* 0000 (main menu)
or Product Code 0400 (aviation products menu). You will be asked to ‘confirm’ (by
pressing 1) or ‘re-enter’ (by pressing 2). You will then be asked
to press the ‘start’ button on your fax and soon the menu
pages containing a comprehensive list of products and codes will be printed
by
your fax.
• Examine the list and when you decide which product you require, follow
the above procedure again, entering the appropriate product code.
• Multiple product selection is also possible; just follow the voice prompts
and note the unique code that your selection is given.
What does it cost?
• Calls to WEATHERDIAL FAX cost €01.78 per minute (VAT
incl.).

Is WEATHERDIAL FAX accessible to everyone?
• The service is only available to callers from within the Republic
of Ireland at present.
