Mostly cloudy this evening with dry spells and occasional showers. Some of the showers will be heavy across the midlands and east, but will die out before nightfall.

Tonight

Most areas will remain dry overnight with clear spells. Cloud will increase in the southwest and outbreaks of rain will develop across parts of Munster later in the night. Lowest temperatures will range 10 to 13 degrees in light westerly breezes.

13 July 2010 - Shannon Weather Radar (Rainfall Radar) Modernisation

Over the latter weeks of July and the first weeks of August major upgrade works will take place on the Rainfall Radar at Shannon Airport. Unfortunately, during this time the Rainfall Radar will have to be switched off frequently, leading to periods of outage for this service.

01 July 2010 - Weather Summary for June 2010: Dry, Warm and Sunny

June was another dry month at almost all stations, continuing a spell of relatively dry weather everywhere since the beginning of 2010. Six-month totals for the year so far are around 75% of normal generally, with only 63% of normal for the period measured at Claremorris. June, like the previous months of this year, was also sunnier than normal everywhere, while most days were warm.
